The Euganean Hills holds numerous religious sites. Abbeys and even the small chapels have a deep charm. The Benedictine Abbey in Praglia lies at the foot of the Euganean Hills. It has a Church designed by Tullio Lomabardo and four cloisters that are described by Fogazzarro in "Piccolo Mondo Moderno". The Mariano Sanctuary of Monte della Madonna, the Monteortone Sanctuary of Our Lady of Health that of the Camaldolensian monks on Monte Rua and the Olivetani Monastery on Monte Venda are tranquil sites so smoothing to the spirit. |
