CULTURAL SITES
The Hills are the ideal starting point for numerous trips to visit all areas in the Veneto region in short times. Padova is the nearest city but there is also Vicenza, the Palladium city, Verona with the performaces in Arena, the Lake Garda. You can visit the Adriatic Coast or walk along the banks of the River Po. You can visit the renowned Venetian Villas that flank the banks of the River Brenta travelling by the Burchiello's boat with which you can reach Venice.
Of the wonderful Venice I believe it is not necessary to talk!
We can talk of Padova instead with one of the oldest Universities in Italy where Galileo Galilei once taught, where you can visit the Scrovegni Chapel and see the frescos by Giotto which have recently been restored to their original splendour, where the mortal remains of Saint Anthony are held in The Basilica of Saint Anthony.
Then the entire Veneto region is famous for its villas, designed mainly by Palladio.
Also in the Euganean Hills there are some famous buildings.
VILLA BARBARIGO in Valsanzibio - Galzignano Terme and its lovely Italian Garden with its labyrinth that offers an esoteric way to the statue of Kronos (Time) that all overwhelms.
VILLA VESCOVI in Luvigliano of Torreglia, completed in the 1500s by Falconetto, teacher of Palladio.
VILLA SELVATICO in Battaglia Terme, of the XVI century, you must climb the 135 steps to visit the important cycle of frescos in the building.
VILLA BEATRICE D'ESTE in Baone, originally a convent where the Blessed Beatrice once resided that is now the headquarters of an interesting Nature Museum.
